Anoma launches on Ethereum with governance and token

Anoma has launched phase one of its mainnet on Ethereum, activating its XAN token and governance system. This release initiates proposal submissions and features a two-body governance voting structure, where users can lock XAN to join a 'voter body' while a governance council, composed of early contributors, can propose changes. Both bodies have equal proposal rights, and the voter body has the power to veto council proposals. Although the treasury contract is deployed, it has yet to be activated, aiming for a decentralized launch. Anoma operates as an 'intent-centric' decentralized OS running atop L1s like Ethereum and Solana, allowing users to express intents for transactions across chains. Key developments include AnomaPay, a cross-chain stablecoin router that preserves user privacy. Anoma plans to expand to other chains, enabling gas abstraction, which allows users to pay fees in any supported token. Upcoming milestones involve completing the protocol adapter audit and initiating governance votes for mainnet app deployment.
