Aptos Partners With Trump’s WLFI To Deploy USD1 Stablecoin
Aptos has partnered with World Liberty Financial (WLFI), associated with the Trump family, to launch the USD1 stablecoin, aimed at capturing market share from competitors like Tron. Aptos CEO Avery Ching indicated that the collaboration had been in discussion for some time, citing the company's advanced technology capabilities. The USD1 stablecoin will go live on the Aptos Network on October 6 and will receive extensive support from various DeFi protocols and wallets. Ching highlighted the low transaction costs and speed of Aptos, asserting that the partnership would benefit users significantly. The new stablecoin is set to compete directly with established players, with current stablecoin distributions showing that Aptos needs to expand its market share, currently at just 0.35%. Ching also announced future products, including a decentralized exchange named 'Decibel' and a decentralized storage system called 'Shelby.'
