Bitcoin $120K breakout will lead to ‘very quick move’ to $150K: Charles Edwards
Bitcoin may rally to $150,000 by the end of 2025, driven by increased institutional demand as investors seek safe-haven assets like gold, according to Capriole Investments founder Charles Edwards. A breakout above the psychological $120,000 mark could trigger a rapid surge to $150,000, Edwards mentioned during an interview at Token2049 in Singapore. Bitcoin has recently seen a recovery, rising over 6% in the past week, surpassing $118,500 for the first time since mid-August. While Edwards' forecast is more cautious compared to some analysts predicting $200,000 due to potential new capital influx, he acknowledges that a significant driver of Bitcoin's price movement will be institutional buying. He foresees a likelihood of three consecutive months of positive returns as the market maintains its cyclic nature, historically strong in the last quarter of the year. Bitcoin's monthly performance has averaged a 20% increase in October, 46% in November, and 4% in December, indicating a potentially bullish end to the year.
