Bored Ape Metaverse Game 'Otherside' Launching With Amazon NFT Drop

Yuga Labs announced the launch of the Koda Nexus, a key social and interactive hub in its Otherside metaverse, set for November 12. This launch coincides with a collaboration with Amazon Gaming, introducing a co-branded NFT avatar called 'Boximus', available for purchase in the Otherside brand store. The Otherside project has been in development since 2022, following the sale of digital land called Otherdeeds. The Nexus aims to facilitate an open-world experience and initiate game mode trials, laying the groundwork for future game layers and the Otherside Development Kit for creators. Additionally, Yuga Labs is collaborating with artist Daniel Arsham on a limited edition collection of interactive digital artworks. This venture not only positions Yuga Labs prominently within the metaverse space but also leverages Amazon’s vast user base, enhancing visibility and accessibility for digital assets. Furthermore, the launch aligns with a favorable judicial ruling that relieved the company from a class-action lawsuit regarding the security status of Bored Ape NFTs.
