Can Solana outperform Ether if ETFs get approved
Solana is positioned to potentially outperform Ether if a US spot SOL ETF gets approved. Ether ETFs began trading on July 23, 2024, with substantial net inflows, enhancing institutional access; however, they did not eliminate market cycles. Solana's infrastructure is developing, as it already has live CME futures and pending options. The SEC's recent standards allow for a broader approval process for ETP listings, potentially including Solana. A US SOL ETF could enhance market access, improve liquidity, and broaden institutional interest. Although Solana demonstrated strong network growth in Q2 2025, capturing a sizable market share in stablecoin transactions, Ethereum maintains a valuation advantage with steady institutional support. The future performance of Solana relative to Ether will depend significantly on continued on-chain activity and whether ETF inflows translate into sustainable adoption rather than fleeting speculative interest.
