Circle CEO: 'We Do See Significant Revenue Potential From Arc Over Time'
In a recent CNBC interview, Circle CEO Jeremy Allaire discussed the revenue potential of Arc, which he described as 'an economic OS for the internet.' The public testnet for Arc launched on October 28, with a mainnet launch expected in 2026. Arc focuses on dollar-priced fees, sub-second finality, and privacy controls, aimed at enhancing financial workflows on-chain, such as payments, foreign exchange, lending, and capital markets. Allaire emphasized the strong usage of USDC in emerging markets, particularly in the Middle East, and highlighted Circle's regulatory developments in the UAE to support on-chain dollar transactions. He stated that demand from these markets is growing significantly, as businesses strive to eliminate the inefficiencies of traditional banking for cross-border transactions. The Arc announcement reportedly includes involvement from over 100 companies across various sectors, indicating a broad ecosystem approach.
