Crypto ETPs smash 2024 total with $48.7B pouring in this year
Inflows to cryptocurrency investment products have exceeded $48.67 billion year-to-date (YTD), surpassing the total for the entire year of 2024. The surge has been driven by significant investment in Bitcoin, which attracted $30 billion, accounting for 62% of the inflows this year. However, Bitcoin's dominance has decreased compared to 2024, where it accounted for roughly 86% of the annual inflows. Ether funds have also seen a remarkable increase, nearly tripling their performance to reach $14.1 billion, elevating their market share from 11% in 2024 to 29% in 2025. Additionally, altcoins such as Solana and XRP have generated notable inflows of $2.7 billion and $1.9 billion, respectively. The crypto community is anticipating upcoming decisions from the US Securities and Exchange Commission regarding multiple altcoin ETFs, which could significantly impact the market further. Despite some delays due to government shutdowns, major issuers are pushing forward with new product launches, showcasing the resilience and growth potential of the cryptocurrency market.
