DeFiLlama to delist Aster perpetual volume data over integrity concerns

DeFiLlama, a decentralized finance analytics platform, announced it will delist perpetual futures volume data for the Aster DEX due to concerns about data integrity. The co-founder of DeFiLlama, known as 0xngmi, noted that Aster's trading volumes have shown a nearly perfect correlation with Binance's perpetual volumes. The correlation ratio was reported to be approximately 1, raising red flags about possible wash trading practices. DeFiLlama requires access to more granular data to verify order details, which Aster currently does not provide. Aster entered the market in September and has been gaining attention, particularly due to its association with Binance. It saw a significant spike in trading volume and open interest recently, drawing interest from the crypto community. Currently, Aster's token trades at approximately $1.83, a decrease from its high of over $2.30. Analysts speculate that Aster could reach new all-time highs, particularly with the favorable market conditions in October.
