Early Hyperliquid user sells airdropped Hypurr NFT for $467K

Early users of the Hyperliquid blockchain were rewarded with a significant airdrop of Hypurr NFTs on September 28, 2025. These NFTs, featuring cartoon cat avatars with various traits, saw immense demand, leading to jaw-dropping sales prices. One unique Hypurr NFT, dubbed 'Hypurr 21', sold for 9,999 Hyperliquid (HYPE), equivalent to $467,000. The floor price for these NFTs was around 1,458 HYPE, or $68,700, at the time of reporting. The NFT collection aimed to acknowledge the support of early adopters from the 'Genesis' event in November 2024, of which 4,600 NFTs were created, primarily allocated to active participants and project contributors. The excitement in the crypto community was palpable, with some users expressing astonishment at receiving valuable digital assets for free amidst economic hardships.
