ETF Investors Turn Bearish on Bitcoin, Bullish on XRP and Solana: CoinShares

Investors withdrew over $1.1 billion from Bitcoin and Ethereum funds last week, driven by a decline in Bitcoin's price, as reported by CoinShares. Despite these significant outflows, funds focused on Solana and XRP saw inflows, bucking the overall trend. Investors placed approximately $291 million into Solana-related funds and over $93 million into XRP funds. Overall, digital asset investment products experienced $812 million in outflows, with Bitcoin accounting for $719 million and Ethereum for $409 million. The report indicated that the recent macroeconomic data, particularly regarding GDP and durable goods, influenced expectations regarding future U.S. interest rate cuts, contributing to market volatility. Bitcoin has fluctuated around $210, with a recent uptick but still down over the week, reflecting ongoing uncertainties in the market. Meanwhile, Solana and XRP displayed resilience, showing modest gains in a challenging environment for cryptocurrencies.
