Ethereum Holders Are More Willing Than Bitcoin Investors to Part With Coins: Glassnode

According to a report from Glassnode, Ethereum holders are more active in moving and selling their coins compared to Bitcoin investors. The data indicates that ETH is utilized more frequently, acting as the gas fees for numerous applications on the Ethereum network. In contrast, Bitcoin is often viewed as a 'digital gold', with investors choosing to hoard their coins rather than spend them. Glassnode found that ETH is being moved at a rate three times faster than BTC, reinforcing the idea that Ethereum holders are more inclined to trade their assets due to utility-driven behavior. This difference is attributed to Ethereum's diverse range of crypto applications, including decentralized finance platforms and smart contracts, which require ETH for transactions. Despite fluctuations in the market, with both Bitcoin and Ethereum funds experiencing outflows, Ethereum remains integral to various finance-related use cases in the crypto space, signaling its utility beyond being merely a store of value.
