Ethereum News: Investment Manager Says Market Views ETH as 'More Risky' Than BTC

Ethereum has dipped below the $3,100 mark for the first time since November 4, with a 3.4% decrease in value over 24 hours. Investment manager Timothy Peterson has noted that ether ETFs have experienced net outflows amounting to about 7% of their cost-basis capital over the past five weeks, compared to 4% for bitcoin ETFs. This trend indicates that investors currently perceive ether as the riskier asset. Cost-basis capital refers to the total amount initially invested in an ETF, excluding gains or losses. Peterson believes a higher level of withdrawal from ether indicates reduced conviction among long-term investors. These developments come amid a broader pullback in digital assets, as ether was trading near $3,066, reflecting increasing investor caution. The sentiment in the market appears to be shifting, with many analysts noting signs of distress among retail investors, alongside fears of a deeper market correction.
