Kickflips for Crypto? This Project Will Pay $28K for a Guinness World Record
A crypto project known as POIDH is launching a bounty of 10 million DEGEN tokens, equivalent to $28,000, to incentivize individuals to break the Guinness World Record for the most kickflips completed in one minute. The current record, set in 2012 by professional skateboarder Ricky Glaser, stands at 36 kickflips. Founded by a group called The Haberdashery and backed by POIDH, the initiative aims to leverage blockchain technology to fuel real-world achievements. Interested skateboarders can submit videos of their attempts, but the footage must meet specific criteria to ensure authenticity. Since its inception, POIDH has facilitated numerous bounties, though only about 1,400 have been successfully completed. With the bounty significantly depending on the dynamics of cryptocurrency value, the motivation to succeed is palpable among the skateboarding community. As several participants already aim for the record, the platform emphasizes community engagement and motivation in achieving real-world goals.
