KuCoin Pay Integrates with Brazil’s Pix for Crypto Payments

KuCoin Pay has integrated with Brazil’s Pix, an instant payments network managed by the Central Bank of Brazil, enabling users to convert crypto to the Brazilian real and make payments at any merchant that accepts Pix QR codes. This integration taps into Brazil's significant crypto user base, with approximately 26 million Brazilians engaging with digital assets. Users can transfer funds from KuCoin accounts to Brazilian banks or pay merchants directly via Pix, with added wallet features for managing both cryptocurrencies and fiat currencies within the KuCoin app. The launch aligns with Brazil's booming crypto market, which accounted for nearly a third of all Latin American crypto activity, generating approximately $318.8 billion in transaction volume from July 2024 to June 2025. Local and foreign companies have been attracted to this burgeoning sector, contributing to ongoing initiatives and innovations in Brazil's financial landscape. However, regulatory uncertainties remain following changes in tax rules implemented in June.
