MiniPay Woos Freelancers with Stablecoin-Backed Virtual Dollar, Euro Accounts

MiniPay, a non-custodial stablecoin wallet provider, has introduced new features tailored for freelancers globally. The service allows users to provide virtual bank account details to clients for direct payments in dollars or euros, with these funds automatically converted into stablecoins like USDT and USDC. Users can then use these funds for everyday purchases or withdraw them to mobile money apps and traditional bank accounts. This functionality stems from a collaboration with Noah aimed at simplifying costly and slow international payments. MiniPay indicates that virtual bank transfers will be free in many regions, though costs may vary based on local markets. The service, built on the Ethereum-based Celo blockchain, has seen over 10 million wallets activated in 60 countries since its launch in 2023. The demand for freelance work, especially in emerging markets, is rapidly growing, and creating a seamless payment experience is crucial for this demographic.
