Monad Reveals Mainnet and Token Launch Date Following Airdrop Claim

Monad is set to launch its mainnet layer-1 network on November 24, alongside the rollout of the MON token. This network aims to compete with existing platforms like Ethereum and Solana by providing high speeds and low transaction fees. In preparation for the launch, Monad has already conducted a token airdrop for early users, targeting 225,000 active crypto users who passed a thorough verification process to prevent abuse. The MON token has seen significant pre-market trading activity, indicating a strong interest with over $14 million in volume recorded on Hyperliquid. The mainnet is designed to significantly enhance scalability, boasting capabilities of processing 10,000 transactions per second with minimal gas fees. Official trading for MON will commence with the mainnet launch, and the token will be available on Kraken from day one.
