Monad Reveals Mainnet and Token Launch Date Following Airdrop Claim

Monad is set to launch its mainnet layer-1 network on November 24, alongside the MON token. This new network aims to compete with Ethereum and Solana by providing high transaction speeds and low fees. The Monad Foundation has raised over $240 million, primarily led by Paradigm, to support the development of this scalable network. The mainnet aims to deliver approximately 10,000 transactions per second with minimal gas fees and rapid finality of 800 milliseconds. Recently, Monad announced the eligibility of nearly 225,000 active crypto users for the token airdrop, which included users engaged in various DeFi protocols, high-value DEX trading, and notable NFTs. Early trading of the MON token has already seen substantial activity, generating over $14 million in trading volume on perps DEX Hyperliquid, where the token is currently valued around $0.06. Official trading will commence on the mainnet launch day, with multiple exchanges ready to support the token on release.
