Revolut Secures MiCA License in Cyprus to Launch EEA-Wide Crypto Services

Revolut has secured a Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCA) license from the Cyprus Securities and Exchange Commission (CySEC), allowing it to provide regulated crypto services across all 30 markets in the European Economic Area (EEA). This license will enhance Revolut's expansion in the crypto sector as it prepares to launch its improved platform, Crypto 2.0, which will offer over 280 tokens, zero-fee staking with up to 22% annual percentage yield, and stablecoin-to-US dollar conversion at 1:1. CEO Costas Michael emphasized that this authorization aims to provide innovative crypto products with increased transparency and trust for users. In addition, the licensing allows Revolut to broaden its range of crypto trading, staking, and stablecoin offerings, further establishing the company's presence in the market for its 65 million global customers, including 40 million in Europe.
