Ripple CTO David Schwartz to Step Back, Joins Board

David Schwartz, the Chief Technology Officer (CTO) of Ripple, announced he is stepping back from daily responsibilities after over a decade with the company. He will assume a new role as 'CTO emeritus' while remaining active within the XRP community. Schwartz, a pivotal architect of the XRP Ledger, aims to spend more time with his family and pursue personal projects related to XRP. Dennis Jarosch, the firm's senior vice president of engineering, will take over technical operations, as Ripple seeks to broaden the applications of the XRP Ledger beyond just payments. Schwartz emphasized he will continue to engage with the community and work on projects he enjoys, including running his own XRPL node and exploring new use cases for XRP. His transition comes amidst Ripple’s efforts to expand its stablecoin into new markets and evolve its use cases.
