S&P Digital Markets 50 Index Will Gain Blockchain Verifiability Via Chainlink
The S&P Digital Markets 50 Index, developed in collaboration with Chainlink by Dinari and backed by S&P Dow Jones Indices, is set to launch as a blockchain-based equities index. It will incorporate 35 blockchain-related equities and 15 major digital assets, although the exact asset list has yet to be disclosed. This index will utilize Chainlink to deliver real-time pricing and performance data securely, making it one of the first on-chain indices to provide verifiable data for both traditional and digital assets. Dinari plans to tokenise the index through its dShares platform, ensuring a 1:1 ratio for each asset tokenized and managed by a regulated custodian. The emphasis on transparency and reliability through this new model highlights the growing convergence of traditional finance systems with blockchain technology, particularly in terms of tokenization of equities, which has been a notable trend this year.
