Snipers Pocket $1.3M Using 'Flashblocks' on Jesse Pollak’s Creator-Coin
Two traders profited over $1.3 million by utilizing flashblocks on the Base blockchain during the launch of Jesse Pollak's creator coin. The event saw 500 million JESSE tokens introduced, with automated trading bots taking advantage of the new 200-millisecond micro-block feature to front-run transactions. Within the same block as the token's issuance, these bots acquired 261.7 million tokens, resulting in significant profits for the top two traders, who made $707,700 and $619,600, respectively. One of the successful traders spent approximately $191,000 on tokens and paid over $44,000 in transaction fees, ultimately netting more than $600,000. This strategy highlights the potential of same-block sniping without private data access, enabled by the visibility provided by flashblocks. Pollak, who advocates for creator coins as a means of aligning interests between creators and audiences, has set the current market capitalization of JESSE at $13.8 million, with a considerable trading volume soon after the token's launch.
