Steak 'n Shake Bitcoin Burger Comes With Actual BTC, Thanks to Fold

Steak ‘n Shake has partnered with the Bitcoin rewards firm Fold to launch a promotion that offers customers $5 in Bitcoin for purchasing their new Bitcoin Steakburger or Bitcoin meal. The initiative is designed to integrate Bitcoin rewards into everyday spending. Customers can claim the Bitcoin by uploading their receipts through the Fold app. This offering is available at nearly 400 Steak 'n Shake locations across the U.S., marking a significant step for the restaurant chain as it embraces cryptocurrency. Previously, Steak ‘n Shake began accepting Bitcoin payments earlier this year and aims to further engage with the Bitcoin community. Fold's CEO, Will Reeves, indicated that this partnership is part of a broader strategy to enhance user engagement with Bitcoin across various retail and dining platforms. The restaurant's unique burger design features the Bitcoin logo on the bun, signifying its commitment to the cryptocurrency space. Even though Fold's shares have seen a decrease, the collaboration reflects an ongoing trend of traditional businesses adopting crypto initiatives.
