The Twitter poll yielded nearly 50,000 votes, yet following strong criticism from Bitcoin maximalists, the company opted to suspend the poll and declared loyalty to Bitcoin. This decision was applauded by Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin, who stated it was a wise choice for the company. Stakeholders in the Bitcoin community had expressed their discontent over any intentions to broaden payment options, emphasizing their preference for Bitcoin exclusivity.
