Tether Reports $10 Billion Profit in 2025 So Far

Tether has reported a profit of $10 billion for the first three quarters of 2025, placing it among the top financial earners and surpassing banks like Bank of America, which reported $8.9 billion in profit. The substantial earnings stem largely from Tether's U.S. Treasury reserves amounting to $135 billion. This profit places Tether on the cusp of rivaling Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs' incomes, which are $12.4 billion and $12.56 billion, respectively. Last year, Tether posted an annual profit of $13 billion, and it appears to be on track to exceed that figure this year. Despite this impressive performance, Tether's profits are still notably behind JP Morgan's $44 billion net income. Tether, headquartered in El Salvador, continues to thrive, with the USDT token's circulating supply expanding to over $184 billion. The company is also planning to launch a U.S.-compliant stablecoin, USAT, by the end of the year.
