Tokenization is Going to Eat the Entire Financial System

At the Token2049 conference in Singapore, Robinhood CEO Vlad Tenev emphasized the rapid transformation of traditional finance due to tokenization, likening it to an unstoppable freight train. He stated that tokenization will merge crypto and traditional finance, forecasting that in the future, all assets will exist on-chain. Robinhood has already launched tokenized stocks in Europe, allowing for 24/7 global trading. Tenev suggested that the U.S. must enhance its digital asset regulations to keep pace with Europe, which is ahead in this aspect. He also mentioned Robinhood's plans to tokenize real estate, indicating that this will follow the model used for private company shares. Tenev argued that despite the current efficiency of the U.S. financial system, the transition to full tokenization will take time due to regulatory challenges. Ultimately, he believes this shift will fundamentally reshape the entire financial framework.
