Tom Lee’s Year-End Playbook for Crypto and U.S. Stocks

Tom Lee, chairman of Bitmine Immersion Technologies and head of research at Fundstrat Global Advisors, predicts a potential end-of-year rally for both U.S. stocks and cryptocurrencies. He forecasts that the S&P 500 could rise by 4% to 10% by the end of 2025, aiming to surpass 7,000, bolstered by recent Fed interest rate cuts and lingering investor skepticism. Lee emphasized that the significant liquidation event in crypto on October 10 could mark a turnaround, as record-low open interest in Bitcoin and Ethereum signals a constructive technical environment for a recovery. He characterized Bitcoin as a strong store of value, particularly highlighting its minimal decline during recent market turmoil. Lee noted the rising Ethereum activity driven by stablecoins, predicting considerable upward movement for both Bitcoin and Ethereum as year-end approaches. He suggests that the traditional finance sector’s increasing openness to crypto could further support these dynamics, as evidenced by JPMorgan’s recent remarks about crypto collateral.
