YouTube Rival Rumble Teams With Tether to Add Bitcoin Tipping for Creators
Rumble, a video sharing platform, is partnering with Tether to launch Bitcoin tipping for its creators. CEO Chris Pavloski revealed this initiative at the Plan B Forum in Switzerland, stating that the rollout is set to begin in December. The feature aims to empower a significant user base to adopt Bitcoin and stablecoins. Tether’s CEO, Paolo Ardoino, emphasized the potential for Bitcoin to provide financial security to creators who may face banking restrictions due to their content. Rumble has previously announced plans for a Bitcoin treasury strategy, acquiring a portion of Bitcoin earlier this year and holding approximately $25 million by Q2. Shares of Rumble saw a slight increase but remain down over 45% year-to-date, reflecting market fluctuations. The platform aims to further enhance the creator experience by building its own crypto wallet, reinforcing its position in the evolving cryptocurrency landscape.
